“Expectativa” was Neisa Guerra’s latest exhibition, which took place in Atyrau in 2018

At the exhibition, Neisa presented 24 acrylic pieces. Through each piece, she expressed a plethora of experiences and emotions resulting from her move from Texas, where she had been living for 9 years, to Kazakhstan.

Neisa portrayed her perception of the long Kazak winters and yearning to be with her loved ones through her color palette, while also being heavily influenced by the Kazak town’s culture.

The exhibition was full of vibrant and radiant colors, which characterize the cultural blend and are common to Neisa’s painting style.
